Two ways out: the bell, or the hour.
At the bell the whole field is in the corral. Not in it, you are out. Loop not finished inside sixty minutes, you are out. There is not much more to it.
Scoring
One loop, one point.
- 01
Each person completing one loop scores one point.
- 02
The country with the most points wins.
- 03
The longer we run with a full team, the more points we score.
Backyard
The same everywhere in the world.
Quoted from Big’s, word for word
- 01
Participants must be inside the corral at the bell.
- 02
All competitors must start at the bell. No late starts.
- 03
Except for restroom breaks a competitor cannot leave the course until the yard is complete.
- 04
No non-competitors may accompany active entrants on the course, including eliminated runners.
- 05
Whatever you bring with you on the loop, you have to return with. Clothes, flasks, crockery, everything.
- 06
No personal aid during a yard.
- 07
Keeping lap times is optional.
Teamwork
Helping is allowed. Pacing is not.
- 01
If someone forgets their bib, tell them it does not matter.
- 02
If someone cannot go on, walk with them. Helping each other on the course is allowed, and every loop anyone finishes is a point.
- 03
If someone is being paced, send the pacer away — it gets the runner disqualified.
- 04
If someone forgets their headlamp, offer to run with them, or remind them their phone has a torch.
Nobody in this squad has run 48 hours. In 2024 all fifteen Belgians did.
